It has to be said that there are no strict rules when it comes to wearing one or other piece of jewellery (and gemstone) today. However, having no orientation, you may end up looking ridiculous. Therefore, let’s invent our own recommendations for what should be worn at different times of the day.
It is not the time for complex jewellery pieces, incredibly expensive gemstones or dazzling glares. All the aforementioned nuances will be more appropriate for evening looks. The best jewels for morning time will be characterised by their freshness, vivacity and great mood. Therefore, choose cool hues and jewels that have a very plain and modest look. Everything must be handy-dandy and with taste.
In the 19th century there was a rule that the daywear must show a strong distaste for shine. However, this doesn’t mean that ladies should snub jewels during the day. It is appropriate to wear earrings, several rings and bracelets. Pearl earrings are especially high in demand. The pearls may give some extra elegance and tenderness. It is not for nothing that the famous Coco Chanel preferred pearls to many other jewels. Elizabeth Taylor also possessed some fantastic pearls and Marilyn Monroe even sang about how the diamonds preserved the pearl necklaces in her jewellery box.
In the evening, you will look great wearing jewellery with diamonds, rubies, sapphires and emeralds. At the same time, you need to remember that crystals hate a challenge. It can be risky to wear different gemstones together. Jewels encrusted with emeralds and rubies are to be shown to the world only on really special occasions. Evening looks really like sparkle, which is why you should pick jewellery pieces with gemstones and give some special attention to necklaces.
